Capstone Progress Entry 06

As I continued down my path of research, I began to realize that advocating for a digital platform for artists to livestream performances would not be a sustainable means of income for artists over time, contridicting some of my base beliefs going into this project of bringing monetary income back to artists in this industry with the fall of physical music sales and rise of streaming. On top of that, it’s extremely difficult to artificially replicate the feeling of being in the room of a live performance, and it truly would not compare to the real thing.

As I begin to pivot and narrow my thinking within the topic of live music, I want to take into consideration the concept of active typography to live music, as intricate typographic trends in album branding campaigns have vastly risen over the years and provide further opportunity to play an active role in live performances.

I also want to consider an additional immersive element that include audience members as a part of the visual performance. I’ll have to consider what device this would include, as something one would likely keep with them at a show and not distract themselves or other audience members.
